Our amicus brief in support of respondents for moore v. harper

The following is the brief amici curiae that Making Every Vote Count Foundation and the Leadership Now Project submitted, with the help of pro bono counsel from Covington & Burling, in support of the respondents for the upcoming Supreme Court case Moore v. Harper. This case concerns the danger independent state legislature theory, which could drastically transform the way our elections work. Our amicus brief focuses on the harmful effects this theory could have on elections and on the American economy. Oral arguments for Moore v. Harper will be heard on December 7, 2022.
